CBM Director Human Resources (m/f) in Bensheim
Location: Bensheim, Germany

Objective: 
The position holder proactively manages Human Resources of CBMeV, in order to provide and develop an effective workforce, meeting short- and long-term needs. Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources (VP HR), the position holder creates and maintains a positive work environment and prevents social conflicts by developing a network and adequate communication with employees. 


Main Tasks

Organisation and HR Guidelines Definition and Planning
  • Propose and implement a three years operational HR plan that supports the CBMeV strategy and business plan
  • In alignment with the VP HR define and propose new or review existing HR Guidelines for CBMeV such as Recruitment, Training and Development, Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Staff Council Relations,
  • Health Management, Safety & Security, Child Protection and HR internal and external communication
  • Support the Leadership of CBMeV in Change Management activities
  • Frequently share best practices with other HR managers in the CBM family as well as with other International NGO HR Managers

HR Operations
  • Ensure on-time delivery of HR services, accuracy of information and legal compliance
  • Identify areas of improvement in administrative procedures and implement appropriate solutions in order to optimise costs, time and quality of the work
  • Enhance staff training and development
  • Ensure that performance management process is executed by managers in time
  • Ensure consistency and follow-up of salary decisions
  • Provide a meaningful HR management reporting

HR Coaching and Support
  • Coach and supervise the HR team
  • Provide managers with methodology and tools to coach them efficiently managing their teams

Social Relations
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with employee representatives; handle grievances and questions of the Staff Council with respect to working conditions, Health & Safety and other change initiatives
  • Measure the social climate through employee feedback surveys in the International Office

Communication
  • Proactively promote CBM’s values and culture within the organisation

Health Management and Safety & Security
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety measures within CBMeV
  • Further develop the Health Management concept of the International Office
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements for a safe work environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Establish and maintain / update classification of jobs in CBMeV
  • Analyse external competitiveness of Compensation and Benefits for International Office staff and expatriate co-workers


Professional Profile and Requirements
  • First degree in business administration, human resources management or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources Management position preferably in a multinational corporation or an international not-for-profit organisation
  • Overseas work experience for 2 years, preferably in a developing country
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of German Labour Law
  • Knowledge in Human Resources Information systems
  • Language skills: German and English (both in professional proficiency)
