North America Safety & Health Manager
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will develop, implement and direct Occupational Health and Safety programs for the North America Exploration group; lead development, compliance, and public and governmental interface on Occupational Health and Safety issues for the group; perform other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field required
• Professional certification – CMSP, CSP, CIH preferred
• Minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in Safety and Health required
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in mining and/or mineral exploration industry required
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role (having supervised a team) required
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of Safety and Health on overall performance required
• Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills required
• Project management skills and ability to multitask, facilitate, and manage successfully multiple priorities and/or projects required
• Solid written and oral communication skills as well as persuasive negotiation and influencing skills required
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams required
• Highly detail and results oriented required
• Self-motivated with proven leadership and managerial skills required
• Lead by example and reinforce a culture of appropriate behavior required
