The Bank for International Settlements is a global forum for monetary and financial cooperation and a bank for central banks

The BIS has a number of openings for experienced economists in its Monetary and Economic Department.This is your opportunity to work at the hub for central bank cooperation. You will prepare policy analysis of global financial and economic issues for senior central bank officials, and undertake research relating to monetary policy and financial stability for BIS publications and professional journals.

We are looking for economists with demonstrated expertise in the area of macroeconomic analysis, monetary policy, or financial markets and institutions. Vacancies may also arise in our offices in Hong Kong SAR and Mexico City.  

You have a PhD and at least six years’ experience at a central bank, an international policy institution, in academia or in the private sector. You combine a strong research background with solid experience in applying economic analysis to real world situations. You have excellent drafting and communication skills in English.
