Management information officer

Christian Aid has a vision – an end to poverty – and we believe that vision can become a reality. But our work around the world is only possible thanks to the hundreds of thousands of people who share our vision and support it financially, by joining our campaigns and through prayer. It is vital that we have reliable information on the people who support us and the success of our appeals. And that’s why we need you.
As Management Information Officer, you will have a key part to play in supporting our appeals by providing essential management information from our supporter database. You will develop new reports and maintain and update existing ones to give staff and senior managers across Christian Aid an accurate picture of the data held in our systems – information that is crucial to maximising our fundraising effectiveness and ultimately to our work to end poverty. As part of the Database Services team you will help to deliver a range of services to database users and to support and promote the effective use of the supporter database.
You will of course have excellent database knowledge and be able to query and report on data within a supporter, customer care or marketing context, using SQL and reporting software. Ideally you will have experience in the use of MS Reporting Services and Qlikview. And you will be skilled in communicating with staff at all levels across the organisation, whatever their level of technical skill, to develop a common understanding and ensure that the reports you produce give them exactly what they need.
More than half the world lives in poverty. We aim to put a stop to that. So we campaign against the inequalities that keep people poor and we work with local organisations to give people strength to find their own solutions to the problems they face. If you’re as determined as we are to end poverty and injustice across the world, work with us to make change happen.
