Economist
The Construction Products Association is the key representative body for major companies and sector trade bodies that manufacture and supply products for the construction industry. Its members have an annual turnover of £40 billion and employ almost 300,000 people in the UK.
The Job
The Association’s economics team is highly regarded across the industry and the Association is looking to extend its activities through the appointment of a new Economist. The successful candidate will work on the Association’s quarterly forecasts and regular surveys, presenting the results to members, politicians and media. Other tasks will include analysis of the implications of government economic policies on the industry and assistance in putting together the industry’s case to influence these policies.
The Individual
Applicants should have a sound background in economic research and analysis, with a particular interest in economics and data analysis. A degree in Economics is essential and ideally a Masters degree. The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary dependent upon relevant experience and qualifications.
