As Commercial Manager you will mitigate commercial risk and ensure our commercial dealings demonstrate good value for money. This will involve ensuring that grants received from official and major donors are commercially and legally sound, as well as ensuring contracts where we are the service provider are suitable, adequately managed and supported by appropriate sub-contracts.
You will make sure contracts operate within our governance structure and take responsibility for grant/contract dispute management and resolution. Working with stakeholders you will support key procurement relationships, develop our strategic approach to supplier management, improve our procurement systems in line with our values and our value for money philosophy as well as encourage best practice. Important too will be the ability to build commercial skills within the organisation
Ideally a CIPS member you will have extensive procurement experience and be expert in evaluating and producing contracts. Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering efficiency savings through effective contract management, you will possess a good understanding of UK contract law and have well developed communication and negotiation skills.
Effective at building relationships you will be highly analytical, good at reporting and results focussed
