Stand out from the competition
If you want to be part of an organisation that is setting itself the target of being a world leader in competition and consumer protection work, you’ll discover a uniquely exciting and rewarding professional opportunity at the CMA.
Our economists play an integral role in our work, offering expert analysis and advice on a wide range of cases, from competition and mergers, to enforcement and market reviews. Our team is growing and we are looking for talented economics professionals at Assistant Director, Economic Adviser and Assistant Economist levels to be part of a world-class economics function that is responsive, incisive and technically robust. You can expect these roles to be both professionally challenging and rewarding. They offer an enviable diversity of projects that will test your abilities and undoubtedly enhance your professional reputation.
Whatever level you’re at, it’s important that you can offer excellent technical knowledge and experience of applying a range of economic analysis techniques. You’ll be passionate about your work, taking pride in a thorough and diligent approach and keen to develop your experience and take on more responsibility. You’ll thrive in a busy environment and relish the opportunity to take on a diverse workload. Strong communication skills will be important, especially the ability to present economic analysis to non-technical audiences, whether that be in writing or in person. We expect that all of these roles will suit individuals with a relevant degree qualification and some practical experience in competition and marketplace economics. In return you’ll find that CMA is a place where you can quickly develop your skills and knowledge and an organisation that’s big enough to support your professional growth and ambition.
