IT Engineer

Key Responsibilities

 

• Participate as information and communication technology (ICT) resource person in projects with significant ICT components, and act as project lead for pure ICT projects
• Ensure ICT infrastructure and systems are available, stable, secure, and monitor performance of network resources and servers in supported offices
• Optimize network, hardware and software resources usage of supported systems
• Provide advice to MIS Manager and develop center infrastructure strategies to support the center in the achievement of its mandate
• Liaise with external vendors and technical staff to provide local support at HQ and remote offices
• Develop change management and disaster recovery plans for ICT supported systems
• Implementing and administering enterprise systems including email and other services

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

• Degree in IT or Computer Science
• 5 years working experience in relevant field, with at least 2 years working experience in administering medium to large scale IT backend infrastructure
• Exposure in the development and implementation of Information and Communication  Technology strategies
• Expert knowledge on Microsoft server technologies and services, open source technologies, and cloud-based hosting services
• Possesses strong analytical and technical skills, project and people management skills, customer relationship and management skills
• Possesses good documentation, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
