As an Application Engineer within the Control and Interface Products and Systems (CIPS) team, you will be part of a team responsible for shaping associated product and technology advances, defining architecture solutions, acting as the technical interface to our external and internal customers/partners, writing technical proposal responses and providing direction and governance to our live project and bid teams to ensure successful proposal generation, project execution and roadmap adherence.
The Staff Engineer / Technologist demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
· Execute with some guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
· Provide technical leadership to other personnel assigned to support the effort on assigned projects and/or tasks; mentors others in the organization
· Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
· Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of IT, engineering, scientific or other technical experience)
· Proven experience in an engineering field
