Internship position – Public Relations Manager

We are currently seeking to recruit an intern to join Bloom Consulting in Madrid, Spain, as a Public Relations Manager.
The Public Relations Manager should be a bachelor or master student (or graduated) with a PR, Media, Communication or Business degree background.
Job description
The main role for the Public Relations and Media Manager position is to help and support project managers in internal and external (clients) projects. The tasks may include:
  •  Responsibility for the Public Relations of Bloom Consulting
  •  Contacting conferences, organisations and universities related to the field of country branding
  •  Contacting bloggers, calling their attention to the projects elaborated by Bloom Consulting
  •  Contacting for journalists, calling their attention to the ranking and projects elaborated by Bloom Consulting
  •  Gathering, collecting, analysing, and reporting different types of data, maintaining databases
  •  Conducting research, which will include consulting external sources, elaborating surveys, performing phone interviews, reviewing publications and browsing the Internet for data sources and information.
  •  Processing Excel figures and PowerPoint presentations.
Internship starting date: 08th of December 2014
Placement period 3 - 6 months
Skills
  •  Entrepreneurial mind-set to approach projects and tasks.
  •  Ability to use own initiative and proactive approach.
  •  Accountability, creativity, good communication skills and enthusiasm.
  •  Fluent at speaking, reading and writing in English.
  •  In depth knowledge and understanding of media communication and journalism; networking and relationship building skills.
  •  Organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and give attention to detail.
  •  Ability to work as part of a team and also as an individual.
  •  A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.
NOTE:
  •  Interns are required to have valid health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship.
  •  You should bring your own laptop with Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  •  The internship is not remunerated.
