The role
Sandvik is seeking a Control Tower Officer to be responsible for the day to day management of the logistics shipments and to meet the service requirements set against freight costs control & allocation.
Key performance areas
  • Management of logistics shipment centralization, standardization, control & visibility.
  • Day to day operative and administrative tasks to support transport logistics processes and activities within Distribution.
  • Works actively with other internal functions within Supply Chain Distribution as well as frontline (regions and particularly regional sales companies).
  • Shipments and transport planning and operational execution (Freight Planning , Freight Consolidation and Freight Booking)
  • Monitor shipments On Time Delivery ( From pick up to POD)
  • Resolve Freight issues (short shipment, replacement, cargo damaged, cargo missing & etc)
  • Support Global Freight Team on Outbound Freight Report
Your profile
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of Logistics Systems and Supply Chain Management.You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a logistics role, preferably with core competence in the transportation area. Additionally, good knowledge of main outbound transport logistics and On Time Delivery processes in general.
You must also posess:
