Intern, Capital Markets Policy - EMEA
Working from our Brussels Office the Internship will work in our Capital Markets team providing assistance to the Head of Regulatory Outreach in support of EU policy engagement activities.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with mapping key themes in policy development in financial services and investor protection
- Research topics linked to the Capital Markets Union, including supporting events and roundtables
- Conducting background research on financial policy issues to inform and support the work of the capital markets policy team
- Research into the potential of social media for regulatory outreach
- Research and eventually assist in preparing a webinar on EU policy distribution on website.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The position requires a body of knowledge consistent with someone who has either completed their education and are about to enter the job market or, are no more than one year away from completing an MA or Undergraduate degree in European Affairs.
- Any knowledge of financial services would be beneficial
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages would be desired
- Must be organized with strong research skills
- Fully familiar with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively
