Project Description
CNFA is currently accepting applications for technical experts for the anticipated USAID-funded 'Feed the Future (FTF) Marketing to Scale.' The goal of this program is to increase the number of farmers utilizing new innovative agricultural technologies, or scaling technologies, amongst BFS project direct beneficiaries as well as the wider smallholder farmer community, or indirect beneficiaries, through targeted marketing support. The intention is to maximize the market penetration of new agricultural technologies within and beyond Feed the Future Zones of Influence. Given the nature of this award, the leadership of this project must foster a productive working relationship with multiple stakeholders including USAID missions and Washington offices, Agriculture Research Centers, Innovation Labs, Implementing Partners, and Feed the Future supported micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), notably seed companies.
Position Summary
The Marketing Campaign Development, Execution and Monitoring Expert will lead components four and five (marketing campaign development, execution, and monitoring; and ongoing monitoring and support).The following activities will be required in target countries: a product launch plan; marketing performance report; setting, monitoring, and adjusting customer standards; benchmarking sales performance; marketing and demo logistics management; marketing campaign realignment; lessons learned; and other services required. S/he will be the primary point of contact for USAID-directed questions in these activity areas and will be responsive to the COR and CO with regards to inquiries in the areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five relevant years of experience in marketing development and monitoring, especially in agricultural/agribusiness/value chain marketing activities
  • Bachelors' degree in a relevant subject area;
  • Master's degree preferred, but not required;
  • Experience working in developing countries, especially sub-Saharan Africa and Asia;
  • Strong ability to deal with diverse stakeholders;
  • Experience in similar work for US government, other institutional donors, or international NGOs;
  • Demonstrated strong writing and oral presentation skills in English is required.
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.
