We are now looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join the HR Services European hub, based in Halesowen, West Midlands.
Job Summary
You are a regional C&B subject matter specialist who is able to provide Compensation &Benefits advice and execution and will be the first point of contact for our internal customers in Western Europe. You will be responsible for the implementation of Sandvik’s Total Compensation strategies in the region, consistent with corporate philosophy and effectively meeting the needs of the organization and business areas. Part of your role will also to be involved in local bonus plans and the Annual Salary review, for which you will act as a sounding board. An important aspect of your role is to drive and control the process in the region, as you will own the salary structure and provide analysis and external benchmarking of employee salaries within Western Europe. If necessary, you will recommend adjustment and actions to manage base salaries while living by the 7 design principles of Sandvik Compensation & Benefits. This may involve communication with HRBPs and managers about these principles or internal negotiations of employee salary levels. In addition, you perform Job Classification using Mercer IPE method and will be involved in making salary proposals for specific roles.
This position will involve an element of European travel, and will initially report to the HR Services Lead, Europe Region.
Your profile
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and ideally, you have at least 7 years’ experience working in HR, of which you will have at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant area. Experience of working in a global organisation is desirable. You are a subject matter expert, with strong analytical, influencing, innovation and problem solving skills. You also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to manage stakeholders well.
