SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – FACE MILLING PRODUCTS

The R&D Face Milling department is responsible for research and development within indexable face milling area. We are a creative and future-oriented team that always strives to develop market leading solutions for our customers. We are responsible for the whole process, from idea to finished launched product. We now want to strengthen our team with a Senior Development Engineer, with technical expertise, analytical skills and a humble approach.
Key performance areas
In this position you play a central part in securing our position as a global leading supplier of milling tools. You work in a creative and international environment where the work is done in a modern and innovative way. The organization is dynamic, with a variety of people and ideas. As a member of our team, you will work with inspiring, friendly and very skilled colleagues, and together we will develop and design high performing tools for the metal cutting industry. We create customer values through smart innovative solutions and secure product quality in close cooperation with our production units. As a senior product developer you have a key role to secure functionality and performance of the tool, in respect of customer values and product performance. This includes design, performance testing both in lab and in the field at customer and quality validation in production.
Your profile
You have a Master or Bachelor of Science, at least five years’ experience of product development and the ability to capture your ideas into a CAD design. Also, experience within metal cutting, performance testing and statistical evaluation, material technology, modeling and simulation are advantageous. As the work involves international contacts, you need to have good skills in English, in both writing and speaking.
As an individual you are analytical and open-minded with the ability to solve complex tasks that require extensive knowledge from different areas. You like to discuss findings and share knowledge with others to conclude technical solutions. You take responsibility for your tasks and team; creating environments for leveraging knowledge and sharing best practice, and you continually develop your own knowledge and expertise. You like to take on new demanding challenges and make them in to winnings concepts.
