The Position

Roche has a strong and well regarded reputation. Our PR department ensures that this reputation is upheld, promoted and protected through wide reaching external and internal communications. You will ensure that an effective PR strategy is driven across various media channels to promote and support the business objectives. You will build effective relationships with stakeholders and deliver powerful PR messages that will position Roche as a continued centre of pharmaceutical excellence.  You will support key business objectives and initiatives through excellent external communication and maximise on opportunities to promote the business in innovative ways.

Applying a deep understanding of the UK Pharmaceutical market, you’ll develop communication strategies which directly engage with key stakeholder groups and develop external industry relationships which can support these efforts. With a proactive approach to enhancing Roche’s reputation, current awareness of trends and opportunities is an important factor in delivering timely communications in relation to organisational and industry developments.

Who you are

An outstanding communicator, you will have extensive experience of writing and delivering effective PR strategies that influence and inspire stakeholders. You will write powerful press releases and liaise effectively with media contacts to build strong relationships, striving to meet strategic goals with tact and professionalism.

You should hold a relevant degree in journalism, life sciences or international relations with previous experience within a similar technical or scientific organization. Above all you will know how to build long lasting, effective relationships and manage change to optimum effect, make decisions under pressure and work collaboratively with relevant teams offering direction and advice.
