Chair in Urban Studies at The University of Manchester

The School of Environment and Development at the University of Manchester seeks to appoint a Chair in Urban Studies. The post is tenable from 1 September 2012.

Salary will be on the Professorial Scale Ref: HUM-00713

You will contribute to research and teaching in urban studies, primarily based in the Planning discipline, but also connecting to urban researchers across the School and Faculty. You are expected to make a central contribution to research leadership both in Planning and across the School, as well as contribute high quality teaching. One of the key aspirations for this post is that it will help us to further Manchester’s reputation for innovative, high quality research on cities. We welcome candidates from any disciplinary background to build on and further develop key areas of research and teaching on Cities within Planning and create stronger linkages across the School.
