We seek qualified candidates for the position of Director, Business Development in Bangkok, Thailand.
Position Responsibilities:
·Manage and oversee the Asia Pacific Region (APRO) Business Planning and Development team and FHI 360’s overall business development efforts in the Asia Pacific region.
·Supervise FHI 360 regional Business Planning and Development staff members and consultants to ensure development of quality funding proposals, tracking of funding opportunities, thorough business development-related research, and critical analyses of funding opportunities and the competitive environment.
·Develop, manage, and strengthen ongoing business development relationships with a diverse group of funders and partners in the Asia Pacific Region.
·Lead partnership negotiation and teaming agreement development with institutional partners in the Asia Pacific Region.
·Ensure development of funding proposals that meet the highest quality standards through providing detailed, critical review of funding proposal drafts.
·Critically analyze potential funding opportunities, disseminate opportunity information, and provide informed, strategic bidding recommendations.
·Support the overall development and implementation of FHI 360’s Strategic Plan, and coordinate with Headquarters-based Business Development colleagues to support country- and regional-level strategic planning.
·Develop, manage, and monitor systems and processes to ensure the overall success and efficiency of FHI 360’s Business Development efforts in the Asia Pacific Region.
·Lead the development and implementation of capacity building plans and resources to strengthen business development capabilities and competencies in the Asia Pacific Region.
·Coordinate closely with APRO’s Senior Director in development and evaluation of goals and objectives related to FHI 360’s strategic plan and priorities.
·Travel, as needed, to meet with funders, FHI 360 staff, and other stakeholders to assess potential funding opportunities, gather strategic information, and identify bidding partners.
·Represent FHI 360 at external meetings/events as appropriate.
·Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience:
BS/BA in public health, social science, or related field, with a minimum of 11 years’ international development or related experience, which includes 5 years’ supervisory experience; or MS/MA in public health, social science, or related field, MPH preferred, and a minimum of 9 years’ relevant international development or related experience, which includes 5 years’ supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
Ability to travel internationally.
Extensive knowledge of funding procedures and requirements of U.S. Government agencies, key foundations, and other international donors.
