WORK HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours/week

SALARY: *Ordinarily Resident (OR) Range: TL 33,403 – 42,528 p.a. (Starting gross annual salary)

**Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR) Range: US$ 31,963 – 35,753 p.a. (Starting gross annual salary)

If the applicants do not meet all the qualification requirements as announced, a trainee level may be established and the starting grade level may be lowered accordingly.

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara is seeking an individual for the IMO/ISC Clerk position in the Information Management Office of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent is responsible for managing all IRM support functions, operating and maintaining IRM administrative software and liaising with IRM contacts, both American and Turkish. The incumbent will also serve as a systems administrator in ISC, fulfilling the full range of user and network support. Incumbent also serves as emergency switchboard operator.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Note: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Following are the minimum qualifications for the FSN-6 (FP-8) TARGET level:
1. Education: Minimum TWO YEARS of college studies is required.
2. Work Experience: Minimum THREE YEARS of progressively responsible experience in the computer field including systems administration, customer service and extensive experience with Microsoft Office are required.
3. Language: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Turkish are required. Language proficiency will be tested.
4. Other Criteria and Skills: Understanding basic office and personnel management practices, customer service concepts and fundamental privacy and security concerns; ability to work well under pressure, time constraints and stressful conditions; excellent public relations skills; basic systems administration skills; strong written and oral communications skills; ability to master IRM supported applications; ability to work as emergency switchboard operator; ability to work with other offices and agencies on shared documents such as emergency telephone tree and organizational charts are required.

1. Education: Minimum TWO YEARS of college studies is required.
2. Work Experience: Minimum TWO YEARS of progressively responsible experience in customer service and extensive experience with Microsoft Office are required.
3. Language: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Turkish are required. Language proficiency will be tested.
4. SELECTION PROCESS
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

USEFM and U.S. Veteran candidates generally have an equal preference in hiring; however, a U.S. Citizen EFM who is also a U.S. Veteran receives preference in hiring before all other preference candidates.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current Ordinarily Resident (OR) employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
6. Military Service (for male applicants): Completion of compulsory military service is required.
