The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funds world-class science in universities and our own research centres, aiming to increase knowledge and understanding of the natural world. NERC is looking for a highly motivated individual to take up the roles of Knowledge and Innovation Manager (KIM) focussing on its Energy Knowledge Exchange (KE) priority area. You will lead and manage KE activity across NERC in this area, to ensure our investments in KE, research and facilities achieve maximum impact upon the economy and society.

A broad scientific and/or commercial understanding of Energy KE priority area is essential, together with proven ability in bringing different stakeholders together and facilitating knowledge exchange. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also a must. You will also have a strong track record of identifying and effectively developing opportunities and collaborations involving academic and non-academic stakeholders.

Contract management skills along with a good understanding of effective knowledge exchange mechanisms and cultural drivers and barriers within the Energy KE priority area are desirable.
