Overview of the Position As Monitoring partner to our client, CTG Global is responsible for monitoring food chain management and providing programme support functions. The operation aims to save lives and protect livelihoods in emergency and early recovery situations. It also aims to prevent acute hunger and invest in disaster preparedness and mitigation measures. Activities under this operation will include:  General Food Distribution (GFD/TSFP protection ration/Wet Feeding)  Food for Work/Assets/Training  Maternal Child Health and Nutrition Collect information and assess NGO's capacity based on criteria/checklist. Commodity Supply Chain Monitoring Monitor Handover of food between transporters and Cooperating Partners (CPs) or FAM reporting and discrepancies between physical arrival and delivery documents; Report if transporter arrives at destination on planned date and is carrying relevant delivery documents on each truck, i.e. waybills; Inspect cargo being delivered and advise if any signs of tampering are evident; Monitor and report on 10% random weighing (CP should weigh the consignment on arrival and report and discrepancies in weight; Check the signing and clausing of waybills is being done properly; Identify and concerns with the food distribution arrangements and report them to the team leader or directly to the Senior Monitor (SM). 3. Other Tasks Ensure Field Level Agreement (FLA) compliance by checking that CP has staff on the ground in accordance with the terms of the FLA and budget as well as security of the distribution point, beneficiary, etc. Distribute beneficiary feedback hotline cards directly to beneficiaries of FDPs being visited; Provide accurate reports to the team leader in the formats provided; Conduct regular meeting with community leaders and CPs to discuss distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues; Assist the TL or SM to assess further need for food aid in emergency and other cases; Perform other related activities as requested. Ensure to monitor at least 30% of the inaccessible distribution sites during an average month unless a greater focus on other activities has been advised by the SM. Ensure all sites are monitored at least once in every 4 months. Essential Experience 3-5 years¡¦ experience in Monitoring and evaluation with emphasis on Food Security programmes A thorough knowledge of UN rules, regulations and procedures will be a significant advantage; Must be team-orientated, with good interpersonal skills and have an ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, prioritize, follow-through and evaluate assigned functions and duties Impeccable and proven reliability, with an ability to remain focused under pressure with a commitment to hard work over protracted hours; Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft systems such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of MS Project and Outlook will be an advantage; Dynamic and creative, using innovative approaches to overcome locally generated challenges; Skill in independently adapting, interpreting, and applying written and verbal guidelines; Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region Ability to start work immediately, at short notice. Working Conditions Working conditions include both office and field work. Work may require weekend and evening work. Work may require overnight travel.
