Logistics Manager (FMCG)

KPI's:

Manage and report on Service Level Agreements (including overseeing management information reports if relevant)

Develop standard operating procedures for all areas and monitor and enforce compliance

Perform financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of data

Build effective, value adding, transparent relationships with all stakeholders (customers, suppliers and employees) through regular communication, reporting and personal interaction

Identify opportunities and negotiate agreements with service providers and internal customers

Evaluate technology and capital requirements as determined by the tactical plan of the division

Actively manage/ assist in managing and implement capital projects within the division

Plan for, select, develop and retain suitable staff for the functions, and develop and maintain a high performance team

Establish efficient security, stock control and optimum storage conditions for all the company’s product lines

Oversee the processing of all orders for distribution and incoming delivery and ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all goods in and out of storage

Produce accurate daily reports of the work done, including: records of the type of products removed for sale each day, how much was issued, sold and returned - ensuring targets are being met

Constantly seek new ways to improve the company’s warehouse efficiency and cost effectiveness

Actively engage with Senior Management by providing input on all aspects of the storage and distribution of goods in and out of the Warehouse.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Logistics or Planning

Five years experience in a logistics or distribution environment within a complex integrated supply chain.

Has a holistic understanding of all factors and processes of supply chain management.

The ability to develop strategies and plans in distribution to improve the value chain

The ability to organise, integrate and manage the distribution process.

Good knowledge of ERP Systems.

The ability to co-ordinate and interact outside of own skills area.
