| To ensure the effectiveness management of staff in order to achieve the divisional targets. To achieve the network Quality standards (including trailing, statistical and Grade of Service) as dictated by the company for the financial year. To ensure that site planning isn in accordance with company strategy by considering the capacity, coverage and quality aspects as well as budgetary implications. Managemet of all technical aspects associated with network planning, optimisation, configuration, network quality, as well as to facilitate the roll-out adhoc projects and the testing of new network features. To ensure that adequate provision is made for network capacity, including BTSs, BSCs and Transcoders. Management of cinfiguration planning and database within the region. Management of network site changes and assosicated contractors. Management of link (A & Abis interface) planning and installation. To address all escalated subscriber complaints promplty. Formulation of the CAPEX budget and the management of Radio Planning & Optimisation OPEX budget. To ensure financial savings dictated by the company. To ensure the timeous roll-out of all network infrastructure (BTSs, PCUs, BSCs, Transcoders, Transmission) and temporary network infrastructure according to network requirements and defined quality standards (GOS, call retention, call set up, call success) so as to enhance both the capacity and the coverage of the network and achieve set availabiltiy targets. To ensure the effective roll out of new technology (GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS) in the network in order to achieve company targets. To ensure that staff are trained on and aware of issues with the correct Health ans Safety Information and equipment so as to ensure optimal performance with in a safe working environment. | |

| EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3 year diploma/degree (e.g. N6/T3/S4, preferably B.Tech/ B.Sc Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Essential) Minimum of 5 years experience within the GSm environment, preferably within the Radio Planning and Optimisation environment (Essential) 2 of the 5 years should consist of supervisory/management experience (Essential) | |
