Job Description
To provide full team leader function and management of works services within the Civil Engineer Operation Heavy Repair (CEOH) section area of responsibility. Includes supervision and work management primarily of an MoD Civilian Civil Engineering labour force but also of works carried out by contracted out service providers.

Functions include: Line Management and supervisory responsibilities, labour reporting, planning and managing budgets and internal resources, planning and executing works services, conducting inspections, evaluating work performance, performing quality assurance with task order close out completion. managing safety programs and providing training.

The position directly manages a SZ3 Supervisor and countersigning officer for 10x SZ3 Craftsmen and SZ2 Operatives. In addition the position holds a responsibility for the Asbestos and Lead Based Paint and Confined Space programs. The position is primarily located at RAF Fairford but may need to cover for staff shortages at RAF Welford as required. The post holder may also be required to work a shift system or be on-call should operational needs demand, such as Snow & Ice removal or supporting emergency responses. The post holder may be required to be an Authorised Person for Confined Spaces IAW MoD JSP 375 Vol 3, Chapter 6.
