Business Development Officer AGRECO

AGRECO, European Economic Interest Group specialized in environmental management and biodiversity conservation, is looking to support its continuous expansion in the field of international cooperation by the recruitment of an EXPERIENCED TECHNICO-COMMERCIAL PROJECT OFFICER, in charge of:

• Business development (market analysis, definition of objectives and strategy, identification of new prospects and partners, contact with clients, documentation…);
• Preparation of expressions of interest and tenders: expert identification and selection, negotiation of collaboration agreements with partners, preparation of technical and financial proposals;
• Negotiation with clients for contract awarded;
• Contracts implementation: providing the support required to the experts, managing the relationships with clients and partners, ensuring the respect of the contractual commitments, providing quality control at head office and in the field of services and deliverables, supervising invoices' preparation and monitoring their payments, etc.

Qualifications:

Higher education, preferably in a field related to environment. Good working knowledge of English and French. Knowledge of Spanish, Arabic, Russian or Chinese will be considered an asset.

Experience:

Confirmed experience (minimum 5 years) in acquisition and management of a portfolio of projects in the field of development, preferably related to the environment, and good knowledge of the strategies, procedures and implementation modalities of the main donor agencies. A good network of contacts among donors, clients and experts would be a considerable asset.
Proficiency in the use of standard office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint…) and Internet.

Personality:

Social and dynamic person.
Acute business development qualities, sense of responsibility and strong negotiation capacities.
Capable of managing problems independently and of coping in a flexible way with deadlines and, when required, work under pressure.
