Vendor Analyst Network and Telecom SABMiller
The Vendor Analyst for Network and Telecoms will analyse the performance data for Network and Telecoms vendors effectively so they are used efficiently to deliver an optimised service to customers.
The Vendor Analyst will:
- Collate and analyse vendor performance data
- Support day to day co-ordination of the global vendor relationships, working closely with Vendor Manager
- Compile dashboard views of infrastructure vendor performance (balanced scorecard) and IS executive reports
- Analyse market data on vendor capabilities and benchmarks
The Vendor Analyst is primarily responsible for the following within the scope of Network and Telecoms, s/he will:
- Monitor the performance of the agreements with vendors and provide detailed analysis of performance to Vendor Managers
- Assist in the evaluation of external markets for sourcing developments and opportunities within the Network and Telecoms vendor landscapes
- Advise Vendor Managers on market trends, vendor developments and product innovations
- Support the vendor governance process frameworks for interactions and integration with the vendors and across SABMiller
- Support the Vendor Manager in escalation and arbitration for vendor relationship issues, and if required, ultimately for operational problems
- Help establish common goals and account plans, and drives the communication plan between the parties
- Support the development of a balanced scorecard for strategic infrastructure vendors
- Compile executive level reports and dashboard views (balanced scorecard) of infrastructure vendor performance
- Support the day to day co-ordination of the global vendor relationships, working closely with the Commercial Management and Vendor Manager – Network & Telecom
- Support the ongoing evaluation and benchmarking of vendor services globally & regionally
- Escalate global IS vendor performance or governance issues to the Vendor Manager
- Support the dispute resolution procedure relating to any claims or disputes between SABMiller and its strategic vendors
- Ensure the Vendor Manager - Infrastructure is appropriately briefed at all times and used effectively as an escalation point
Desired Skills & Experience
Knowledge and Experience Required
- HND / Degree educated preferred (or of Graduate calibre) in IT or a business discipline (Finance or Law are particularly appropriate)
- CIPS accreditation or willingness to participate in a corporate accreditation process
- Experience in a complex vendor management environment
- Good relationship and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the network and telecoms technology and service delivered by the vendors
- Good knowledge of the key network and telecoms vendors, the market, competitors and market trends
- Knowledge of market trends in contract and pricing models, service delivery and performance management, and innovations
- Experience creating executive level reports
- Experience analysing vendor performance data
- Experience of vendor benchmarking
- A broad understanding of the legal aspects contained within vendor contracts
