Sales Manager - Networking & Security
Our client Wipro is an IT Company and is seeking to recruit result driven and motivated individuals for the Vacancy above;
Mission:
To manage the sales function for networking and security domain of Wipro in Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strong Sales and Pre-Sales Networking experience in the East Africa region.
- Very strong domain understanding of data and voice networking technologies.
- Track record of having advised, created solutions from architecture to BOM for switching and routing (layer 2 and 3 ).
- Strong understanding of enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless technologies , IPT , convergence solutions and DC & DR networking requirements.
- Strong familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Avaya switching and routing.
- Experience within routing protocols – RIP,OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and Experience in Cisco IOS and configuration of IP, ISDN, VPN, services.
- Experience within routed protocols – IP Experience and/ or good knowledge of MPLS Knowledge of Policy Based Routing and experience in QOS, COS.
- Experience and understanding of perimeter security including firewalls, IDS, IPS etc. as well as solutions like DPI (deep packet inspection ).
Qualifications:
- At least 7 to 9 years’ experience in Sales/ Presales.
- Exposure to sales to C-level technology stakeholders and account management
- Experience of handling large banking, telecom customers in the Africa region
- Experience in delivering technical proposals and bid/ RFP responses.
- Education : Bachelors in Engineering, technology streams or a very strong technology sales background with a diploma in information technology (management education is a clear plus))
- Strong experience of working closely with OEM Sales/Pre-sales teams
- Good understanding of Alliance management
- Strong written and oral communication skills and customer interaction skills with a good command of the English language.
- Track record of owning and achieving a sales quotadirectly.
