Account Manager, eBay Partner Network eBay - Seattle, WA

We are seeking a new Account Manager for eBay Partner Network (ePN). ePN is part of eBay's Internet Marketing organization, which is a team operating at the forefront of e-commerce, combining marketing science and innovation to shape the future of online shopping.

Billions of dollars are transacted on eBay each year, and a key driver of this volume is our network of third-party websites allowing consumers to discover, research, and discuss their purchase options. eBay Partner Network, is responsible for partnering with these sites to drive consumers to eBay and connect them with the products they love. This entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, award-winning team currently works with over 300,000 websites globally to drive consideration-of-eBay and traffic-to-eBay on a daily basis, making it one of eBay's most impactful marketing channels.

eBay has invested a significant amount of resources in our internet marketing capabilities over the last five years, staffing up in operations, product development, and analytics. As a result of this investment and the talent we have attracted, the internet marketing team has developed a center of excellence and now runs internet marketing for several of our channels globally out of Seattle, working closely with our business partners in Europe.

The Account Manager of ePN will play a pivotal role in the continued optimization and growth of ePN's most valuable and strategic relationships. This position will focus specifically upon fostering and growing existing partnerships from a large roster of North America-based publishers. Applicants should be familiar with online advertising - experience with affiliate marketing is preferred. They should be both technically and analytically oriented, while possessing the soft-skills necessary for effective Account Management.

This position reports to the head of the Lead Account Manager and is based in Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic partners with a myriad of business models to achieve aggressive quarterly sales and revenue goals.
  • Work closely with partners as well as internal teams to support key eBay growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate with our internal Network Quality team to ensure the highest level of quality is maintained within the network.
  • Partner with Analytics to better understand account growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with partners to continuously optimize and improve campaign performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ePN's toolset and reporting system to help provide expert guidance to partners.
  • Collaborate with partners to discover, develop and implement creative marketing opportunities.
  • Work with Product Management to help support specific partner initiatives.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of ePN through continuous external communication and education.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to further establish ePN as the most publisher-friendly program in the Performance Marketing Industry.
  • Collaborate with other members of Internet Marketing for cross-channel knowledge sharing and efficiency gains.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years relevant experience; proven record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment, building trust-based relationships.                                                        
  • Previous experience in account management (affiliate marketing experience preferred).
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills along with a strategic mindset. Must be comfortable making data driven decisions.
  • Must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be a highly-motivated self-starter, flourish on a multi-cultural team, and have a brilliant sense of humor.
  • Must be confident and comfortable presenting to an executive audience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications, or similar discipline.
  • Strong preference given to candidates familiar with eBay, retail industry, and basic SEO and SEM principles.
