Jhpiego ICT Officer


ICT Officer provides organizational technical assistance for the integration and implementation of Information and Communication Technoloy (ICT) within Jhpiego's health systems strengthening programs, primarily in the areas of provider education, training and performance support.

Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in working with relevant program staff to integrate ICT into programs, including designing, developing (potentially to include writing and testing software code), implementing and assessing interventions
  • Work with ICT Director to develop partnerships with technology and other partner organizations to facilitate the use of ICT in program activities
  • Lead, in collaboration with other technical and program staff, training, meetings or workshops for the planning, design, implementation or evaluation of programmatic ICT
  • Collaborate with program and technical staff to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of ICT activities, including providing input into logical frameworks and indicators.
  • Participate in and provide technical input into program work plans and budgets
  • Contribute to timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities and results to donors, including progress reports and annual reports
  • Promote and facilitate experience sharing, knowledge exchange and the dissemination of ICT project information across the organization
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including in-country and headquarters staff, donors, government officials, partner organizations and ICT companies
Required Qualifications:
  • Passion for the mission of Jhpiego and to broader global issues of public health and international development
  • BA in ICT, public health or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years’ experience providing ICT technical assistance for health systems development and strengthening programs
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating ICT-supported projects in limited resource environments
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating program activities with governmental, non-governmental and private sector partners
  • Ability to identify and incorporate or adapt best and promising evidence-based practices
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technologies and technology standards and an understanding of the constraints and benefits of different technologies
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to handle a variety of assignments under the pressure of deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally
