INTERPOL is currently looking for a qualified Administrative Attaché for the Command and Coordination Center in the Buenos Aires Regional Bureau, which is part of the Operational Police Support Directorate.

The post holder will provide bilingual/trilingual secretarial and administrative services to the CCC in Buenos Aires Regional bureau, and handle daily routine matters as they concern the work of the CCC in its areas from an administrative and organizational perspective.  The incumbent will also play an active role, as part of the CCC, for the areas which come under the responsibility of the Coordinator(s). 
 
Primary Duties
Under the supervision of the Coordinator(s) of the Command and Coordination Center in the Buenos Aires Regional Bureau, the incumbent performs the following duties:
1. Monitor, under the responsibility of the Coordinator(s) the overall preparation of specific projects/files/activities and alert him/her regarding all files who are not in compliance with the established time schedule and deadlines.  Afterwards, provide the regular follow-up and reporting to the Coordinator(s) regarding the implementation of the specific files/projects/activities.
2. Put in place a system to log in, treat and trace all incoming and outgoing mail in the CCC in Buenos Aires Regional Bureau as it relates to its daily on-going activities.  In parallel, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving, recording, treating and disseminating information received concerning the Coordinator’s projects and appropriate follow-up action.  
3. Perform secretarial duties and put in place administrative procedures in order to ensure that the CCC in the Buenos Aires Regional Bureau operates as a cohesive unit
4. Ensure all correspondence prepared within the CCC in the Buenos Aires Regional Bureau and destined to the Sub-Director and Director for signature is complete, correct from both a presentation and linguistic point of view and respects specified deadlines.  Prepare project related correspondence independently or at the request of the Coordinator(s).
5. Ensure that directives from the Executive Director, Executive Directorate Secretary and the Directorate Secretary are implemented within the CCC in the Buenos Aires Regional Bureau and by its staff under the responsibility of the Coordinator(s). 
6. Perform any other duties as requested by the hierarchy.

Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Training/Education required
• Bilingual secretarial qualification or equivalent training or experience. 
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish. 
• Advance level in the use of office software.
 
 Experience required
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in administrative/secretarial posts or equivalent other experience. 
 
 Special aptitudes required
• Ability to cope with sudden increases in workload, and high degree of availability (may be required to work overtime or outside normal working hours) 
• Ability to work in a team and to maintain good relations with members of the General Secretariat
• Ability to react quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.

• Sense of initiative.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Trilingual secretarial qualification. 
• Working knowledge in French/Arabic.
• Experience in another International Organization.

Working Conditions
This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • The duration of the normal working week is 37½ hours;
• When circumstances so require, the incumbent may be required to go on mission to provide administrative assistance during a conference.
