Lecturer Capacity Development

We are looking for
a colleague for 0,3 or 0,4 fte to strengthen our team Development Studies, who can make an active contribution to the Bachelor course International Development Management (IDM) and the Professional Master course Management of Development (MOD). The three IDM majors are Regional Development and Innovation, Fair Trade Management and Disaster Recovery Management. The four MOD specialisations are rural development and gender, rural development and HIV/AIDS, rural development and food security and rural development and communication.
All courses are taught in English and have a strong international focus. Staff is also involved international consultancy missions.

Job description
• Conduct and development of education in a competence based learning environment in the field of capacity development and project management;
• Contribute to educational innovations; 
• Supervise students in placements and thesis; 
• Contribute to (international) education projects.
We ask
• An academic degree in Development Economics, Rural Sociology, Social Geography or International Development Studies; 
• More than 5 years international experience in the areas of capacity development and/or project management; 
• Relevant and up-to-date international network;
• Outstanding communication skills and a good command of the English language;
• Affinity to gender equality;
• Proven didactical skills or willingness to take additional training.
We offer
You initially a temporary appointment of one year for 0,3 or 0,4 fte. The salary (depending on age and experience) is a maximum of € 4.365,16 gross per month for a full-time position (in accordance with the Hay job profile docent 1) CAO HBO.
