Project Manager UITP - International Association of Public Transport


UITP, the International Association of Public Transport, is the Coordinator of the European project “EBSF” one of the largest surface transport R&D projects ever undertaken by the European Union.
UITP is looking for a dynamic Project Manager whose tasks would be to support the Research and Innovation project team in the management of EU funded projects

Under the coordination of the EU Projects Director, the candidate will deal with the following tasks:

  • Project coordination: scientific monitoring of the fulfillment of the project commitments, ensuring also quality of the outputs;
  • Support administrative management (cost statements, audit preparation, financial and activity reports, etc.) under supervision of the EU Projects Director;
  • Production of deliverables and technical reports or administrative reports;
  • Organise, manage and animate manage round-tables, meetings and interviews as appropriate by the project. Collect opinions, statements, suggestions and outputs and organise in a way suitable for being included in a report;
  • Assessment of available project documentation by harmonizing the different contributions coming from members and WP, including the translation of heavy technical information into comprehensive and essential or useful information;
  • Contribution to Communication and dissemination activities (newsletters, articles, etc.);
  • Assure the link between all actors of the projects and UITP;
  • Support the UITP Budget and administration coordination of project supervised by the Projects Director;
  • Support the identification of new funding opportunities and the preparation of relative proposals.

Profile:

  • Experience in project management, possibly in the frame of EU projects;
  • Experience in working in the urban bus transportation sector or in PT, urban mobility systems and services in general is a plus;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Strong capabilities for extracting/ transforming brainstorming session outputs in well redacted reports;
  • Capability to work both in team but also autonomously with limited set of inputs;
  • IT literate;
  • Good communication skills.

 Period and place:

The position is based in Brussels and would require some travels in Europe.
