Responsible Care & Logistics Manager FECC

The European Chemical Distributors Association (Fecc) based in Brussels has an opening for a ‘Responsible Care & Logistics Manager’.

Monitor, report and assist the Membership on technical and policy issues related to the EU and international initiatives which affect the Chemical Distribution; particularly in the area of Responsible Care Logistics and Precursors (e.g. explosive and drug precursors);
Providing information and assistance to the Membership on the implementation and compliance with industry initiatives, such as Responsible Care, SQAS and other Security and Safety Regulations;
Advisor for the development of guidelines and positions;
Establish and develop networks with the EU and international stakeholders and industry;
Managing internal working committees and participation at external meetings;
Collection, analysis and reporting on relevant industry statistical data;
Travel may be involved.

University degree; preferable technical/scientific background;
Two to three years of working experience in relevant field;
Experience in regulatory affairs relevant to the chemical sector, preferably in the fields of logistics, and Security and Safety initiatives;
Knowledge of transport regulations: ADR 2011;
Knowledge of quality systems and industry best practices in the chemical industry, e.g. Responsible Care, SQAS;
Knowledge of the EU regulatory developments;
Team oriented, capable of networking, able to work under pressure, and to manage several dossiers;
Fluent in English; fluency in a 2nd and 3rd language are an advantage.
