Business Development Specialist - Chemicals

Minimum Requirements
You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Engineering along with 12 years’ relevant experience in business development within the petrochemical industry.
 Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle the new petrochemical technology reviews during the design and implementation for both Monomer and Polymer technologies.
  • Coordinate with both EPC and each respective technology provider (Licensors) to ensure that licensor’s requirements during the engineering and selection of equipment are met.
  • Ensure that lessons learned during the start-up and commissioning of existing facilities are incorporated in the new design.
  • Work with operations section heads to develop the Standard Operating Procedures for new units.
  • Review P&IDs and PFDs and provide comments on time and with minimum change orders to the project.
  • Ensure integration within the new plants and with existing facilities is sound and safe to implement.
  • Manage business development process from screening through deal closure.
  • Drive screening and validation activities to progress proposals through stage gates.
  • Prioritize business proposals against investment criteria and New Business Development (NBD) portfolio strategy.
  • Lead business planning and economic modeling.
  • Assemble initial offerings to potential investors and lead investor selection activities.
  • Participate in creating the commercial, financial and technical framework for the deal.
