Department
The team at BBC Guernsey delivers
radio, online and television to the residents of the four islands which
make up the Bailiwick of Guernsey. With a small team, it’s a great
opportunity to further your multi-media skills and we’re looking for
journalists with a passion for the islands and an understanding of the
challenges of producing content across four platforms. Guernsey and her
sister islands of Herm, Sark and Alderney are self-governing and are not
part of the UK or the European Union. Journalists cover a wide range of
stories, from the very local issues to those which make headlines
around the World. This can be an island paradise, but don’t be fooled
into thinking it’s a quiet place where nothing ever happens.
Any offer of employment is conditional on a housing licence being obtained for anyone not qualified to live locally.

Requirements
With previous journalistic
experience and a passion for news, you'll have the ability to find and
follow-up original stories and have a good broadcasting voice. You'll
also be a good team player who’s happy to work shifts and go the extra
distance for a story. Knowledge of the Channel Islands and an
understanding of issues affecting our audience would be a distinct
advantage.
