Graphic Designer-DC
Responsibilities |
1. Background 1.1 Principle Aim SFCG would like a talented, socially-minded graphic designer to help develop attractive, professional, and easy-to-use brand collateral. Currently, SFCG’s research reports, program reports, proposals, and PowerPoint presentations have an uneven appearance. The contractor will be expected to develop Microsoft Word-based templates with a similar look and feel across each report type (and then extend this style to a PowerPoint presentation template). With 50 offices in 30 countries, SFCG has frequent recourse to online document sharing and collaboration. Therefore, we will also need these templates to function within the Google Docs environment.
1.2 Template Deliverables
1.2.1 Research Reports Evaluation reports are generally written midway through and at the end of a project. Evaluations are meant to measure the outputs and outcomes vis-Ã -vis the stated goals and objectives of the project. The intended audience for these reports include SFCG staff, donors, and beneficiaries. The intended result is for organizational learning, program learning, public accountability, and to contribute lessons learned to the larger peacebuilding community.
1.2.2 Program Reports Program Reports highlight the achievements and outcomes of projects. They are meant to read as a story and captivate potential funders and donors with photos, charts/graphs, and quotes from program beneficiaries.
1.2.3 Proposals Proposals tell donors what the project is. They lay out the goals and objectives while providing details of how the project will meet the intended goals. Proposals tend to be very text-heavy and require few visuals.
1.2.4 PowerPoint Presentation
