Position Description
The Department of South Asian Studies seeks applications for a preceptor in Hindi and Urdu. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2013. Duties will include language and literature instruction and course development at all levels of Hindi and Urdu. The position is full time with teaching duties of five courses per year.
The position is for one year renewable on a yearly basis for up to eight years, contingent upon performance, enrollments, and curricular need.
Basic Qualifications
The successful applicant should have experience in teaching all levels of Hindi and Urdu.
Additional Qualifications
A strong graduate record in any field of Hindi and Urdu language, literature, and culture by the time of appointment is required.
