Senior Relationship Manager (Product Coordinator Palm Oil)

This vacancy, also reffered to as Product Coordinator Palm Oil, focusses on stakeholder dialogue in a multilevel, complex B2B environment. To enable commodity industries to show transparency and give insight in the different levels of sustainability throughout the supply chain, UTZ Certified has designed a unique web-based traceability infrastructure. This infrastructure is not just used for UTZ Certified products, but also by other initiatives for sustainable commodities. As a specialist in the field of commodity supply chains, you will work closely with the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil and its members. You understand their (future) needs and demands with regards to traceability and you are able to translate these in product development for UTZ Certified. By realizing optimal member satisfaction in using the traceability infrastructure you will actively contribute to the transformation of global production and trade towards more sustainable practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Relationship management and consultative sales for RSPO (and in the future Better Cotton Initiative)
• Gather information on relevant sector developments and clients’ needs as input for requirements for functional design, in cooperation with the traceability development team
• Delivery of improvements to traceability system
• Manage the service delivery to the RSPO
• Ambassador of UTZ in the palm oil sector, and in the future the cotton sector

The Product Coordinator reports to the Head of Product Management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• MSc in international business, development economics or related field
• 7 years of relevant work experience
• Experienced in working in international multi-stakeholder settings at senior level
• Strong client focus, excellent relationship management skills in a complex environment
• Highly informed about commodity supply chain issues and trade; experience with palm oil or cotton is a plus
• Highly informed about the international developments in sustainable sourcing and CSR
• Experience with round tables / stakeholder dialogues is a plus
• Experience in consultative sales of supply chain ICT, including functional design and project management is a plus

Employment is based upon 40 hours/week. The position is based in Amsterdam and implies regular travel. We can only consider candidates who have a work & residency permit for the Netherlands/EU. Please note that we will check your references towards the end of the procedure.
