Environmental Intern

The Director Environment and Water Department, Robin Twite, is looking for an intern that can support him with current and future research. Robin Twite was a career official in the British Council and has worked on environmental issues as director of the IPCRI Environment and Water Program for fifteen years.
IPCRI interns have the unique opportunity to both engage in research on Israeli-Palestinian environmental issues and to meet with and engage many of the personalities that shape its dimensions.
IPCRI Environmental interns engage in the following kinds of work: Assist the director of the Center for Environment with day-to-day work Assisting in research projects Assisting in project development Administration Preparation for conferences Grant writing Reporting on events and project activities
Requirements:
Interns must be able to stay with IPCRI for a minimum of two months. Interns that can stay longer receive preference. Interns must be comfortable with working independently and taking on responsibility. IPCRI does not have a sufficient staff to supervise interns on a day-to-day basis.
Applicants must be able to write at an academic level in English. Interns for this position must have knowledge about, and/or prior experience in, environmental studies. Experience in fundraising and research as well as proficiency in Hebrew or Arabic are considered an advantage but are not a strict requirement.
Please note that IPCRI's internships are not paid. IPCRI is not in the financial position to reimburse housing or travel costs.
