Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager

International supplier of products and services to the Aviation, Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries. The Energy Services company has particular focus on power plant products and services. 
Job Description –
We are currently searching on behalf of our client for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager which will be responsible for implementation, support and compliance of all HSE plans policies and procedures for Field Service and Major Maintenance activities.  This position involves working at client sites (power plants and refineries most often) during gas turbine outages and maintenance work.  
Responsibilities include:  
  • Support the Maintenance Field Service implementation of corporate HSE programs, systems and procedures.
  • Provide field service support to customer for HSE Management team for duration of the project.  Support corporate HSE initiatives during pre-outage planning.
  • Perform annual reviews of corporate HSE procedures and make recommendations for improvements as necessary or required.
  • Responsible for on-sight compliance of HSE procedures for field service activities.
  • Conduct HSE audits, prepare and deliver audit reports, review and report safety incidents and ensure effective investigations while focusing on cause and corrective measures.  Communicate with regulatory agencies and bodies regarding safety audits and/or non-compliance issues. 

Candidate Requirements –
The successful HSE Manager will have experience managing HSE procedures during power plant maintenance services, experience with large plant construction projects is also very helpful.  Additional qualifications include;
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable Engineering or Industrial Safety program (Mechanical/Industrial preferred). Post-graduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE programs in an industrial construction setting. Relevant Occupational Safety credentials highly desirable.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable HSE rules, regulations, safety laws and policies including; OSHA 1910 and 1926 requirements. Authorized OSHA Construction Trainer preferred.
  • Must be self-starter with ability to work independently and travel domestically 50-75%, with occasional international travel as needed.
  • Position requires periods of physical exertion including walking, climbing and lifting, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, ability to climb and perform functions up to a 12 ft. ladder. 
  • Position will be based from corporate office in the greater Atlanta, GA area.  Relocation assistance available.
