Senior Concept Development Engineer

Our Client –

An internationally recognised Oil and Gas Operator with operations in North America, Africa and Australasia. My client is recruiting for a Senior Concept Development Engineer with experience in to join its growing team in London on a permanent basis.

Job Description –

The Concept Development Engineer will be responsible for the study and generation of upstream development concepts for exploration and appraised hydrocarbon discoveries, in order to select the optimum concept for development.  These concepts will be supported by technical feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedule estimates, and other associated technical deliverables to assist in evaluation and selection of the optimum concept.  Once the concept is selected, the technical deliverables will include Feasibility studies plus associated cost and schedules for development of the concept.  The CDE is expected to work closely with Reservoir Engineers, Well Engineers, Economists and Field Development Managers associated with the asset, and will be supported by engineering design and consultancy firms.

Candidate Requirements –

• Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering subject is required, ideally Chemical Engineering
• MSc in an engineering or business subject will be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of stage-gate project management process
• Proven track record in working on the engineering design of upstream (E&P) projects
• Experience of Process Engineering and Cost Estimating software is required, e.g. HYSYS, Pipesim, OLGA, Flare-net, Que$tor
