Organizational Development Advisor - South Africa

Position Summary
We are currently looking for an Organizational Development Advisor for an upcoming grant management program.  The individual will lead organizational support to grant recipients at the district level in South Africa. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Work with the Senior Training and Capacity Development Advisor to implement an assessment of organizational needs for district-level organizations who will receive grant funding from the program
  • Develop multi-prong strategy for support to grantee organizations, including personal on-site support, continuous assessments, regular monitoring and evaluation, and specific focused technical assistance with resource partners and consultants.
  • Provide professional guidance to resource partners and consultants in organizational development.
  • Coordinate resource partners and consultants to implement capacity development plans for each of the grantees, including but not limited to areas related to finance, human resources, governance and compliance.
  • Coordinate with other technical and operations staff to assess needs for grantees and provide a comprehensive package of capacity building.
  • Implement tools and resources on-site with grantee organizations.
  • Facilitate workshops for grantee organizations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in finance, organizational development, business management or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ program management experience
  • 5+ years’ facilitation and training experience
  • Experience developing trainings and resources for skills development in:  finance, human resources, governance and compliance
  • Knowledge and experience in the HIV/AIDS sector in South Africa
  • Knowledge of the South African Government structure and program planning process
  • Knowledge of small non-profit structure and program planning process
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent  inter-personal skills
Work Environment
  •  Usual office working conditions free of disagreeable elements. 
Travel
  • Domestic travel is estimated at 25% of time.
