Consultant - Child Protection in Emergencies Capacity Building

Consultancy: Strengthening of national capacities in Child Protection in Emergencies

United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) works with Angolan institutions, civil society stakeholders, and other development agencies for the improvement of survival, and child protection.

In this context, UNICEF Angola is searching a consultant for the strengthening of national capacities in Child Protection in Emergencies by training design and delivering to governmental institutions and key actors of civil society.

    Duty station: Home-based consultancy with 1 week in Luanda
    Reporting to: Child Protection Chief
    Duration of Contract: 1 month
    Level fees: P3 level

Required Qualifications and Expertise:
  • Advanced university degree in Social Sciences and/or Development.
  • At least 5 years of international professional experience in Child Protection, including Child Protection in Emergencies (conflict and/or disaster) in challenging contexts.
  • Experience of training development and delivery, including on Child Protection in Emergencies, as well as humanitarian issues.
  • Fluency in Portuguese. Ability to write training modules and conduct on-site training in Portuguese an asset.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal communication.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to Angola to deliver the seminar.
