Regional MRM Specialist (Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism)

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Temporary Appointment: Regional MRM Specialist (Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism).

Qualification:
1)       Education
  • Advanced university degree, preferably in the social sciences, political science, law or other relevant field.
2)       Work Experience and Requirements
  • Minimum eight years of professional work experience at national and international levels in the field of human rights and the protection of children is situations of armed conflict.
  • Strong background/familiarity with Security Council Resolutions on Children and Armed Conflict, the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism established by Security Council Resolution 1612, and UNICEF’s mandate on child protection.
  • Background/familiarity with the humanitarian cluster system.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to MRM countries in the region for at least 30% of the duration of the assignment.
