Senior Deepwater Drilling Supervisor

Our Client-

Senior Deepwater Drilling Supervisor is required for a very prestigious operator in West Africa.

Job Description-

As the Senior Deepwater Drilling Supervisor you will report to the Drilling Superintendent and act as the company's representative on the rig. My client project is for their exploration and appraisal program, including exploration of pre-salt structures, covering multiple blocks offshore West Africa.

• Report all offshore activities in accordance with established reporting systems and standards.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate drilling/completion operations and suggest improvements where applicable.
• Ensure that all activities carried out by both the Drilling Contractor and sub-contractors are done safely, according to approved programs and in accordance with applicable Company procedures and Governmental regulations.
• Monitor operational performance trends and where required, ensure corrective measures are implemented immediately.
• Plan and coordinate for timely arrival of required materials, equipment and service personnel.
• Maintain good cost control on drilling operation expenditures.
• Periodically check on Drilling Contractors equipment and personnel in order to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled and work performed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that all work, for which the Well Site Engineer is responsible, is completed to the required standards.
• Ensure that any emergency situation onboard the unit is handled promptly, effectively and in accordance with Company's Contingency Plans.

Candidate Requirements-

• Solid offshore experience
• Solid background and recent deepwater experience
• Good technical and operational understanding of drilling and/or completions
• Bachelors or Master degree in Engineering would be an asset
• Any experience of working in West Africa on 6^th generations would be highly advantages.
