Senior Geophysicist - Malaysia

Our Client-

A Senior Development Geophysicist is required by an emerging, mid-sized operator based in Malaysia who can demonstrate excellent seismic interpretation skills and reservoir characterization experience, ideally within South Asia basins. This client has a rapidly expanding presence in Asia and has an aggressive growth plan providing distinct opportunities for leadership and career growth.

Job Description –

We are looking for Geophysicist experts who have experience with all phases of development and pre-development works including managing prequalification submission, seismic data processing, attribute analysis, seismic inversion and interpretation. You will be responsible for delivering geophysical evaluations to support appraisal and development drilling programmes in multiple fields, designing well-bore trajectories, post drilling evaluations and overall senior engineer contribution to full field development plans.

As a senior member of the team you will be asked to deputise for management where necessary and be involved in recruitment and training of more junior personnel.

Candidate Requirements –

• Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Petroleum Geology or Geophysics
• Looking for a 15 year + experienced Geophysicist with strong development and reserve estimation experience.
• Excellent understanding of seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation, both surface and down-hole.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of attribute analysis and seismic inversion.
• Ideally demonstrating a strong knowledge of Southeast Asian Basin's
