Finance Joint Venture Analyst

Context
In the past few years, Diageo has entered into Joint Venture relationships and distribution agreements with a number of partners. This role is to support the finance agenda for two of these JVs, Ketel One and Zacapa.

The financial management of these Joint Ventures and distribution agreements is complex due to the exceptions to Diageo global process and the – often complex – partner agreements in place. The role manages various aspects of the financial and management accounting and reporting processes for Zacapa and Ketel One and supports the Finance Director in the management of relationships with the JV partners.

Your responsibilities
You will be part of the JV Finance Team and report into the JV Finance Director. You will partner with the aging facilities site management in Guatemala, the back office team (Guatemala/DBS), staff in Latin America Supply and with Diageo’s reporting team in Budapest. The JV finance team is involved in a wide range of finance activities from Supply Finance (Zacapa aging facility) and analysing management P&L (IMC R&Os) to statutory P&Ls(reporting to the shareholders). Your main tasks will be to:

· Have BPM conversations with markets to recommend performance  interventions, be the ‘go to’ finance person for GBT Zacapa
· Ensure correct accounting for Zacapa from a management and statutory perspective; preparing the management reports for Zacapa
· Manage the CARM process and CARM compliance for Zacapa RCP
· Manage A&P and OH budgets, both management and statutory
· Liaising with Guatemala/Miami for Zacapa and manage governance processes for Zacapa RCP
· Provide key support to the JV Finance Director by driving the local Diageo processes.
· Be a key member of the JV Finance team, ensuring involvement in key strategic initiatives.
Main accountabilities:
· Exec Deck and Board Deck preparations – BPM management, BPM statutory, deep dives, Control & Compliance
· Month end and management reporting - Ownership of RCP P&L (integrity of financial statements) each month, intercompany reconciliations, intra profit validation, budget management
· BPM Performance analysis
· Statutory accounting - ensure integrity of statutory accounting for RCP - support the statutory audit for Zacapa, report the statutory performance to both Exec Co/Boards
· Zacapa Supply Budgeting – support integrity of ICSP Costing , SKU costing
· CARM responsible for RCP CARM process and deliver satisfactory rating
· Continuously seek out opportunities to improve finance processes (Brand Matrix) - intercompany re-charges and documenting the core processes
· Actively support team during Annual Operating Planning process for Zacapa

Profile
· Qualified Accountant
· Minimum 5 years Finance experience
· English language skills (Spanish would be an advantage)
· Supply chain or manufacturing experience highly preferred but not essential.
· Skilled in the use of analytical tools and shows capability to develop knowledge to support financial planning & technical decision making.
· SAP/Brand Matrix process understanding a benefit.
· Understands the control and reporting environment and demonstrates the ability to understand how financial processes and systems translate into management and statutory reporting.
