Senior Accounting Professional
In order to create a more flexible Finance organization with a focus on support for business operations, Sandvik is implementing a new way of working - one in which global processes are one of the cornerstones. To support this, a new function, Country Finance Sweden, is being established. It will be the country's central function for finance services and, in part, act as business partner for Sandvik's businesses in Sweden. Key performance areas
As Senior Accounting Professional you will be part of the Parent Company accounting unit, which consists of five people. The unit works on a regular basis with accounting, reporting, forecasts and reconciliations for Sandvik AB. Given the variation in the unit's responsibilities, there is generous opportunity to acquire both broad and thorough knowledge of the current roles.
The foundation for your position as Senior Accounting Professional will be reporting, forecasting and support. The role includes ensuring compliance with IFRS and Swedish legislation as well as developing the ways of working. Primary responsibilities are as follows:
– Carry out the daily bookkeeping in our SAP system
– Take part in book closing process and reporting for Sandvik AB
– Support Sandvik AB's functions' forecasting
– Compile and analyze material for business controlling
– Contribute in projects and other development initiatives
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Finance, or equivalent knowledge, and several years' experience from an accounting firm or from the accounting department of a larger company, as well as from working in projects. Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and verbal, are a prerequisite for the position, as are computer skills and good knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP and experience in IFRS are advantageous.
