Commercial Sales Manager

Our Client - Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Offshore Wind industry and are responsible for the servicing of more than 50 wind farm sites across the British Isles, both onshore & offshore.
They are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to join their established team to service the contractual requirements and bid preparation from their Wind Power projects business. 
Job Description –
  • Co-drive sales / account strategy for assigned projects and / or accounts together with Technical Sales Manager
  • Consult on commercial terms such as pricing strategy, price escalation, payment terms, and contractual issues.
  • Responsible for robust risk management prior and during sales phase including risk assessment, risk evaluation and risk mitigation
  • Understand commercial issues from customer perspective and develops commercial strategy to match customer requirements
  • Manage the commercial dimension in the sales team such as analysis of tender material, align commercial customer requirements, customer consulting and presentation, risk assessment and mitigation, alignment with new unit business on commercial strategy.
  • Provide commercial concept as part of LoA process. Prepare input for the income side of projects (price and cash-flow optimization)
  • Analyse tender material / Heads of Term / contracts and develop of bid / negotiation strategy
  • Lead customer negotiations for commercial topics
  • Documentation of negotiation process for commercial topics (deviation lists)
  • Develop new products / concepts as part of customer negotiations
  • Capture and analyse relevant regional market data including deep understanding of customer value/revenue drivers.
  • Participate in win / loss analysis. Secure compliance with Siemens internal processes and guidelines.
  • Develop customer strategies with commercial focus as draft for management discussion
  • Support TSM in handover from Sales to Projects

Candidate Requirements –
  • Extensive experience in commercial project sales or development, preferably in the wind energy or power sector.
  • Previous responsibility of complex projects in multi-cultural teams and professional customers.
  • Commercial Project management experience is desirable, experience in leading cross-functional / cross country teams, strong networking skills
  • Working experience in multi-lingual and cultural teams, preferably cross borders.
  • Excellent presentation and communication/influencing skills, result oriented with structured approach
  • Advanced expertise with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
