IFC is recruiting an Investment Analyst to work from its country office in Bolivia . Investment Analysts are an integral part of a project team and are given high levels of responsibility and broad exposure to the many aspects of international projects and corporate finance. 

The contract for this position has an initial duration of 2 years (renewable), with a one-year probation period. Thereafter, it is subject to a renewable term appointment contract. Significant amounts of travel within the region and globally will be required to meet the objectives of the assignment. The appointee will be stationed in La Paz, Bolivia.
Duties and Accountabilities:
The selected candidate will support project teams in product strategy and positioning, managing relationships with strategic partners, spearheading business development activities, and supporting the implementation of investment and advisory projects in Bolivia ; opportunities may be provided to support projects in the broader Latin American and the Caribbean Region. 

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct industry and market research and assist in IFC’s business development efforts

• Create financial models, analyze historical and projected financial statements and prepare internal investment proposals and external information memorandums for investment projects, term sheets, project proposals and draft legal documents

• Establish and maintain quality client relationships to ensure responsive client service and to enhance new business opportunities

• Produce country and sector analysis, strategy briefs, marketing material and pitch books.

• Lead and provide support to the organization of conferences and workshops with local and international partners

• Support investment and Advisory Services teams in business development, execution of investment transactions, and supervision of companies in portfolio
Selection Criteria:
The ideal candidate will have:

• Masters or equivalent degree with specialization in finance, accounting or other relevant fields

• Strong credit analysis and modeling skills, with relevant experience (2+ years) 

• Sound analytical, research and conceptual skills encompassing finance and the associated areas of financial investment, portfolio management, corporate finance and economics

• Strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment

• Strong client service orientation with an openness to feed-back and new ideas

• Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint – Ability to design and lay-out complex financial models and business plans, written reports, and strategy or marketing presentations.

• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, in English and Spanish

• Ability to work in multicultural teams and across boundaries

• Good knowledge about main issues affecting private sector in Bolivia, with emphasis in the sectors of agribusiness and financial markets.
